I would like to send emails with a black background

Hi there
I am having problems sending an email with a black background. I have clicked on html then can actually create an email with a back background however I sent the email to my personal email address to see what it looked like before sending it to others but it always comes up white.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong as it is black in entourage but white when I open it in my or my husbands yahoo account

Sending a black background is working for me in Entourage 2008. Are you
also receiving the message in Entourage?

Thank you for reply. I sent the message from my entourage (which is connected to my personal yahoo email address) to my husbands personal yahoo email and also to his company work email address. The email sent to his companies email address came up with a black background with white font however when it was forwarded to his yahoo email it came up with a white background and no writing. I am trying to create a newsletter for his work and want the background to be black with white font. We want to send it to all his clients but I am worried that firstly people with yahoo addresses won't receive the black background and hence any writing...Is is that certain email servers will receive the black and some won't
I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give me as I find computers and programs a little tricky

Yahoo could be stripping out the attachment thinking it is spam.
