iCal -> Entourage import help.. incremental update plz!

B

Bill Mazlar

iCal can import Entourage data natively, but it takes at least 5
minutes. Is there any way (3rd party app, applescript, etc.) to have
iCal import from Entourage "incrementally" (i.e. import only new/revised
events so runtime is minimized)?

Thanks all,

-Bill

P.S. The reason I ask is that iCal shares calendars with ease but
Entourage cannot unless you have Exchange server, plus I much prefer to
use the Entourage interface to input events.

Yes, via my shareware Sync Entourage-Cal scripts from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

There are separate versions for PANTHER and TIGER. Fr both, you need
Entourage 2004.

If you already have upgraded to Entourage SP 2 (11.2), which has separate
calendars "On My Computer" and Exchange, the present version of the script
syncs the Entourage calendar corresponding to you default email address, as
set in Tools/Accounts/Mail. If your default email address is a POP or IMAP
account, the local (On My Computer) calendar will sync; if the Exchange
account is your default, the Exchange calendar syncs. So set the default
accordingly before synching. A later update will let you choose which
calendar to sync even if it's not your default email address one.
