Icelandic date format in Project timescale and reports

E

Elias Petursson

I would be very gratefull for any help I can get conserning my problem with
MS Project and icelandic date format and dates / months names.

In Excel and Word this has been taken care off, but not in Project

For excample: on the timascale the week days letters are named m t w t f s s
but in icelandic it would be m þ m f f l s in the same order. It is
unsatisfying, specially when printing reports and such things I am delivering
to my clients. The months names are for example january versus janúar I have
been looking for language settings in the Project but with no luck.

I hope someone can help me.

Hi Elias,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Project picks up date formats from the way you have set up Windows in the
International tab. Examination of the languages available in:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/project/prodinfo/faq.mspx does not include
Icelandic. I've no other information available, though you might like to
contact Microsoft direct.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

..Hi Mike

thank you for the response, the problem I am refering to is that it is not
an option to set the names of the days and months to icelandic wich is no
problem in Excel,Word and Access. when I choose label in the timescale there
is none with icelandic names, and like I said this is no problem in the other
programs and is easy. I hve the language setting in Windows set to iceland

with thanks fore the intrest and regards from Iceland
