Identify an Word/Excel file without the doc/xls extension

Hi,

How can I know if a file is an Word/Excel file, when the
file does not have the doc/xls extension?

I have a folder with a lot of files and all them without
extension (xls, doc, txt, .). How can I know witch these
files are Word or Excel files?

Thanks,

Rui

Why don't they have extensions? The applications insert them automatically.
Maybe you are simply not displaying them? You can change the view options in
Windows Explorer to display filename extensions of all files.

In my case, all files do not have the extension.

I have a huge quantity of files in one folder. These files
have the name encrypted because they come from a document
management software.

And I need to separate all Word or Excel files.

Thanks,

Rui
