Identity Transfer from Office X to Office 2004 or 2008

I am currently still using Office X and want to upgrade to Office 2004 or 2008. I have extensive saved email that I don't want to lose. Will the installer recognize my existing main identity and transfer all the mail and account settings during the installation process?

Entourage 2004 and 2008 are suppose to upgrade Office X identities.
However, many folks have reported problems with updating Office X
identities directly to 2008. You may want to hold off purchasing Office
2008 if you really need Entourage until you hear reports that the
upgrade problem is fixed.
