IE and Outlook - Reposting original question -

Reposting original question _Please read what My problem
is and what I have tried. I get a response and answer the
response (here in the group), but then it gets lost in the
shuffle and I still have not gotten an answer.

I am trying to get Microsoft IE to send web pages through
Microsoft Outlook instead of Outlook Express. In tools
Explorer shows that Outlook "not Outlook Express" has been
selected but when I choose send it opens the page to
Express which does not have all my address book. Is there
another place to check settings?

Millie offered this solution
Under Control Panel->Internet Options->Programs tab, make
Outlook Express
the default mail client. Then change it back.

My reply:

I tried your suggestion 2 ways "change to and change back"
applying on each step. Did not work. Then I repeated the
steps and restarted the computer after each one. It did
not change.
Thanks
Glenda

Another response was:

Which program opens when you click on a mail to link
inside a web page.

Answer, Outlook not outlook express.

I don't know if it will help but there is some code at
http://www.slipstick.com/config/defaultmailer.htm that forces Outlook to be
used as the default program. Also, have you searched the MSKB to see if
this is a known issue?
