If I purchase xp for my pc may I also load it into my lap top

I would like to update the opererating system to xp professional. But before
I lay out that money I would like to know if I can also download that same
system into my lap top using the same disk.

No. You'll have to purchase a conventional
"Upgrade Version" of Windows XP in order to
upgrade your other computer.
