IF

[Help]

I have the following if statement that doesn't seem to be
working right.

=IF(OR(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("Y",N6:W6))),"Y","N")

It is providing me with a "N" no matter whether I have a
Y in N6:W6 or not. What's even more strange is that if I
F9 parts of the formula in the formula bar, the logical
test in the if statement (beginning with OR) comes up
accurately as either True or False.

Any thoughts?
