image in signature file not showing up

I'm trying to creat a signature file, at the top of which
I'm inserting a scanned signature, the file is a jpeg.
Everything is showing up fine in word, and even in the
signature picker dialogue box, but when I launch a new
message, the picture doesn't show up, just a box with a
red x in it. The file is where it belongs in my profile.
Anyone have any suggestions to fix this?

signature uses html files, try putting the jpeg file into a html page and use
that page as signature.
