Image in word template wont print from outlook

I create a template in word and insert an image
(.gif, .jpg, .bmp), then I save it and click on the icon
to send it as an email. When the email is opened the
image appears but when I go to print it out the image does
not appear, only a box with an x through it.
Anything ideas?

Windows 2000 SP4
Outlook 2000 SR1 SP2
Word 2000 SR1 SP2
IE 6 SP1
All patches ahave been applied also.
