images and graphs do not fully load in Word XP

I have been frustrated inserting graphics into Word XP. They only partially
show. Uncompressing seems to have an impact and sometimes will result in my
being able to see the image, but as soon as I go to another graphics, I
cannot see the graphic I lest. I have disabled pop-up blocking. Any ideas?

In Word, if you're working in Normal view, switch to Print Layout view.
Click on Tools | Options | View tab | check the "Drawings" box and
uncheck the "Picture placeholders" box | Print tab | check the "Drawing
objects" box | OK.

If the previous suggestions don't help, then try reducing the hardware
acceleration setting in Start | Control Panel | Display | Advanced |
