Images look like Andy Warhol art

Client is on Windows XP, PowerPoint 2002. Laptop (brand unknown)

I cannot figure this out...adjusting hardware acceleration doesn't work. But
jpgs or pngs inserted into PowerPoint distort to funky colors - hot pinks ,
yellow, with hard edges. If you're old enough or somewhat interested in pop
art you'll say it looks like an Andy Warhol piece of art.

Is it a video card issue? Color bits? It works fine on my computers and his
PC.

Might be a video card issue. Updating the drivers wouldn't hurt.

Might also be the size of the image. I know I had one once that was way too
big to be used in a PPT file and it showed up all green striped. So I'd
check the size of the JPGs and PNGs. I'd also make sure they're not set to
CMYK.

1. display settings might be set to just 256 colors - verify it is set to 32
bit if available
2. isolete if this is just a powerpoint issue of not - for example the is a
setting in internet explorer advanced options - smart image dithering that
shows web images fairly well even in 256 colors - but there is no setting
like that in powerpoint
3. verify that inserted images dont go through clipboard - but straight from
files on the disk
