IMAP gMail: e-mails not appearing in my On My Computer Inbox

Nothing. That is how IMAP works; it keeps messages on the server. If you
want to copy them into your Inbox On My Computer, you can create a rule to
do so. Or, if you have multiple accounts that you'd like to look at in one
place, you can create a Custom View by using the Find or Advanced Find
command to find all messages in either Inbox followed by Save as Custom
View.
