IMAP problems in 2004

Hi, sorry for the repost, but I got no responses.

I upgraded Office to 2004. I have Entourage set up to receive mail
from several accounts. The POP and Hotmail accounts work fine, but the IMAP
account is giving me problems. If I view an IMAP message, it changes to
"read" from "unread" in the message viewing pane, but not in the folder
pane. Then, if I delete the message, it shows up in the trash folder as
unread. I have tried to repair the message list, but the problem still
occurs. Any help? Thanks.

Well, I had similar problems with both Entourage versions, i.e. the
current one and the previous one. I never found any solution to my
problem (mails being marked as read or being deleted reappear as new in
my inbox all the time).

Well, count me as another one with those problems with my IMAP
account. I don't recall having this problem (at least not often) until
the upgrade to 2004. In addition, I have constant error messages
popping up related to server connections being dropped, "trying to get
mailbox lock from process XXXXX" and a bunch of other inconveniences.

Sorry I don't have any answers with this post, but I was here
searching (again) for any solutions that I haven't tried yet to any of
the above issues (I think I tried them all by now) and saw this as a
perfect time to vent.
