Hi Folks,
I found one thread from last January slightly related to this, so I thought
I'd see if anyone knows more about it now...
I'm using Entourage 2004 11.1.0 040913 on OS X 10.3.8 with a PBG4 17"
1.5Ghz, 1GB RAM, 80GB HD.
I have a local IMAP server (localhost) which I access via Mail, Entourage,
or whatever e-mail client I want. It holds all my mail folders and files
regardless of the client.
My mail comes in via .Mac, which is also setup for IMAP. When I'm done with
an e-mail, I move it to the local IMAP server's folder.
However, when I move/copy a message from the .Mac account to a folder on the
'local' IMAP server, the RECEIVED field is updated to the time the message
was moved/copied, not when I originally received it from the .Mac server.
This only happens with Entourage. Apple Mail leaves it alone. I haven't
tried other clients (yet).
The problem for me is that if I have a few e-mails from the past couple of
days, all the received flags are set to the same time just because I moved
them to another folder.
Is this strange, or is it just me.
Kind regards, and thanks in advance, Paul
