You would think that Microsoft could get this right, no?
When I export from Outlook 2000 to a CSV file (windows or DOS, doesn't
matter) and then try to import to Entourage, I get nothing. All of the
fields are there (I can see them) , but a couple of things go wrong:
1: Entourage does not map the fields from the CSV file into the fields in
Entourage, even though it knows what stuff is. I can easily scroll through
all of the contacts in the import dialog and see the data. The result is
that all of the fields are mapped into the "notes" field in Entourage,
somewhat useless.
2: there seems to be no way to manually map stuff on my own, even though the
instructions say that you can do this. There is no option for manual
mapping and if I drag things from one place to another it has no effect.
