Import and exporting Contracts

On numerous occasions in the past I have successfully
exported and imported contacts between Outlook and
Excel. Now, I seem to be experiencing a problem
transferring phone numbers and email addresses. Whether
importing or exporting contacts, the email addresses will
not transfer. When exporting contacts to an Excel file,
the phone numbers show up either as 0 or 1. When
importing from Excel, they show up in Outlook similar to
this example: -1482002896.000.
Recently I have downloaded Spybot-Search and Destroy and
Spyware Blaster, and also upgraded my virus protection
with Norton AntiVirus 2004. Could this be the source of
the problem? Any recommendations for a fix? I run XP
and my Outlook and Excel are 2000.
