Import from Excel causing nightmares

Using Outlook 2000 w/ Windows Me, I encountered the
following problem.

I tried to import an Excel file into my Outlook Contacts
folder. It left me with thousands of "blank" records that
when I try to delete, I get a message saying, "The
messaging interface has returned an unknown error."

If anyone knows how to get rid of these messages, I would
be greatly appreciative.

First - When you import from excel, you need to define the data you import
In then excel file select the data and give it a name (insert - name)
When you import, select the name - so that outlook will not try to import the empty cells

To delete the empty contacts, I used find - to get all of then, and then selected all that was found and deleted

If you cannot do this, create a new contact folder, copy the good items to it, and delete the old one
