Import from Mail?

Hello!

After several months of experimenting with Apple Mail (OS X Jaguar and
Panther 10.3.2), I have decided to switch back to Entourage X. Apple Mail,
while nice, just does not have the level of polish and integration with
Address Book and iCal that I would like. Entourage X has it's quirks, but
is a much more polished application overall. But, I digress....

My question is if there is a way to import Apple Mail and Address Book
entries into Entourage X (iCal is currently empty)? Granted I have not
looked very long for a possible solution, so there may be something obvious
that I have missed, so I apologize if this is a rudimentary request.

Thanks in advance!

My question is if there is a way to import Apple Mail

See this page from Microsoft:

Note that after you install the script (if you haven't already), you must
re-apply the 10.1.2, 10.1.4, and 10.1.5 updates.
and Address Book
entries into Entourage X

(a) Drag contacts from the Apple Address Book to the Desktop, and then
drag them into the Entourage Address Book.

....or...

(b) Use Paul Berkowitz's "Sync Entourage-Address Book" script. It
allows you to synchronize your Entourage Address Book with the Apple Address
Book.

Thanks! The Applescript worked perfectly for importing Apple Mail messages.

My only remaining question is how to reapply the 10.1.2 - 10.1.5 updates. I
have tried and each time I do I get a message that Office v.X cannot be
found. Any ideas?

Mickey meant that you should apply the updates after installing the script
from the CD. That's necessary if you have an older Office v. X CD which is
v10.0.0, since the script that came on that CD was for Mail in OS 10.1 and
won't work in OS 10.2. (Jaguar) or later.

Since you found that the script worked perfectly, you must have a later
version of Office v. X on your CD - 10.1.2 or 10.1.4. So the script was the
right version, and the updaters can't find anything to update. They give
you a slightly wrong-headed error message "Can't find Office" really means
"Can't find a version of Office that can be updated".) Don't worry about it.

You're OK as you are.
