Important images and bounding boxes

I'd like to know if there is anyway to import a graphic into a pp with out
the bounding box which automaticaly surrounds the image. Barring that is
there anyway to remove that box in the program itself?

There shouldn't be any kind of "bounding box." Can you describe how exactly
you're importing the graphic, what file format it is, and what exactly
you're seeing? Also, which version of PPT are you using?
