importing a table from excel

B

Beth

I'm putting together a phone directory for a high school
with about 2000 kids. The information is in an Excel
spreadsheet, all formatted to be copies into publisher.
I would rather not have to copy each page separately.

Is there a way to add enough pages to my document and
then copy once and have publisher flow the table
automatically to succeeding pages?

Tables in Publisher will not flow.

Which version of Publisher do you have, as that depends on which is the best
way to do it.

Well in Publisher 2003 it is easy.
In Excel export or do a SAVE AS your data you require in Publisher as CSV
(Comma Separated Values) and then do a Catalogue Merge in Publisher 2003.

The Catalogue Merge will do a great job for your needs.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Catalogue merge was
exactly what I needed. The only books I could find were
for older editions of the program. You are a life saver.
thank you again.

Beth well post back here anytime you like for assistance.

Polite people like you are most welcome.

The uses you can put the Catalogue Merge in Publisher 2003 are only limited
by your imagination. I have done some great work with that feature.
