importing and mapping

I am trying to import my contacts from a comma-delimited/txt file into
Entourage. I get to the point of mapping the fields. When I try to
match the left column to the right, by dragging, nothing happens.

Please advise

match the left column to the right, by dragging, nothing happens.

If I remember correctly, you can only drag the right column items to match
the left, not vice versa. You have to match the import fields to Entourage
fields.

I even tried that, moving from right to left, but nothing happens. When
I drag right-left the field is highlighted then 'slides back" to the
right side, as if "it can't go there"
