importing calendars

I am trying to import a iCal calendar, but am unable.

How can I do this ?

It depends on your versions. If you are in Tiger and have Entourage 2004
updated to 11.2 or later, you can select the calendar in iCal. go to
File/Export and export the calendar to an .ics file. (This part also works
in Panther - the whole thing might work there too.) You might need to to a
Get Info on the .ics file (cmd-I, or control-click and choose Get Info) and
set Opens With to Entourage. Then drag the .ics file onto the Entourage icon
in the dock. All the events will appear in Entourage's calendar.* Entourage
does not have separate calendars except for Exchange accounts.* So the
events are just interspersed with your other events, and will have no
identifying category. You can find them and add a category to each if
desired.

If you want them to automatically have a color-coded category corresponding
to the iCal calendar, you could use my Sync Entourage-iCal [TIGER or PANTHER
as appropriate] script from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

Run its PREFS Installer script to Choose Category/Calendar to sync only that
one calendar,

The script is shareware but free for 14 days, so if it's a one-time thing
you can do it for free.

*(If you have an Exchange account, and thus more than one calendar, they
will appear in the calendar associated with your default
