Entourage stores its data inside a monolithic database in
~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/, so there is no way to
access your address book data straight ahead. What you can do instead,
however:
in Entourage, click on File>Export and choose to export your contacts as a
text file, which you should then be able to import into most other
applications.
Alternatively, select your contacts (click one, then click on Edit>Select
All**), then drag them into a folder on your desktop. You will now get
individual .vcf files for every single contact, and most applications should
be able to read these files.
** Note that if you have more than 200 contacts, you can only export 200
contacts at a time, so Select All and the resulting export process won't
work correctly in that case.
I have Entourage X for Mac, and I'd like to import my contacts in the
address book into another program. Where on my hard drive is the
folder located that has this address book data? Can anyone help?
Thank you. George
