Importing Data into Entourage Calendar

I am a new Mac user and I'm trying to get data from my PC info manager (in .CSV text form) into my new Mac. Looks like I should be able to import the file in entourage as a .CSV file but it keeps wanting to import it into a contacts file rather than into the calendar. Eventually I'd like to get the data into iCAl with a move from Entourage. iCal doesn't like the .CSV file format; it wants a.VCS. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
