Importing files into Entourage?

I'm trying to import my contacts from an excel spreadsheet or .csv
file into Entourage and all fields end up having parenthesis ("")
around them. How can I import these contacts without getting the
parenthesis?

Check out Paul Berkowitz's "Export-Import Entourage" script package. It has
a special import script that will take care of these kinds of issues.
