Importing from ACT 2000 to Entourage 2004

I am trying to get the act files from my pc to the mac. It looks like
the data is being exported correctly from the PC. When I try to import
the data I am having problems getting the fields to map.

Up at the top on Entourage import screen is a drop down box labeled
Auto mapping. It is the only option to select. I can not drag from
the unmasked to the maked field it seems like nothing wants to be
dragged up or down within a mask or unmasked area nor to the masked
from the unmasked.

The help functions do no cover this situation. I am exporting as a
text comma delimited.

Should I go back to act and select only the specific fields to export?
Also how do you get first name last name in entourage when Act lists
as contact with first and last in one box.

Any suggestions?

I also tried to export to Outlook express but OE does not want to
import Act 2000.

I'd guess that the problem with dragging fields (which I've never seen)
might be line endings. Make a copy of the CSV file (command-D in the
Finder). Open the copy in Excel Mac. Save As immediately as Comma Separated
Values (Mac). Save As again (to different file name) as Tab Delimited Text.
Try importing each of those and see if one works.
