Importing from iCal

F

Felix

Hi there,

I'm having a problem importing my calendar events from iCal 1.5.5 to
Entourage 11.0.0 (Microsoft Office 2004). I'm running on Mac OS10.3.9.

Have tried exporting individual calendars (.ics files) and opening them
with Entourage but that doesn't work. Neither does using the import
feature of Entourage.

Can anyone offer any suggestions or confirm my belief that Entourage
doesn't have compatibility with iCal.

Thanks!

Have you tried exporting the iCal files as a text file that entourage can
read? Try this and see what goes. It might be that there is a problem with
the information contained within the file that is being read. Also you do
not say what error message u get when you attempt this action...in the later
version of iCal (2.0.2) it doesn¹t support iCal directly, but can take text
files (hence the suggestion). This is found in tiger v10.4.2.

Entourage can't "read" any text file exported from iCal.

If you get my "Sync Entourage-iCal 2 [TIGER]" from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

you can import all your iCal events and todos into Entourage. It's free for
14 days, so if you're just doing a one-time import, you're done.
