importing from OE to Outlook and storage space

Hi,

I'd like to know, when I import data (messages and
address book) from OE to Outlook, are the files
duplicated, thereby doubling the amount of storage space
required? The term "import" leads me to believe the
files are moved, rather than duplicated, on my hard
drive. If so, am I able to delete the OE files to free
up storage space?

Cheers,

Cameron

When you use the import/export features, the info is duplicated, not moved.
My suggestion would be to use Outlook Express' File, Export command to
export from Outlook Express into Outlook. Once all your data is transferred,
if you're certain that all info is duplicated correctly, you can go ahead &
delete it from Outlook Express, if you're that short on space. Personally,
I'd keep the data in Outlook Express, as well, just to make certain that it
was still usable, should I decide to return to Outlook Express.

Why? You can import Outlook data to OE.
