Importing info after upgrading

I'm still trying to import my information from old Entourage into the
Entourage that imposed itself on my Mac Powerbook G4 when I recently
partitioned. Mickey Stevens instructed:

"First, in your original user, go to /Users/<Original
User>/Documents/Microsoft User Data/, and drag the "Office X
Identities"
folder to /Users/<Original User>/Public/. Drag it while holding down
the
Command & Option keys back to its original location. That creates an
alias.

"Then, in the new user, go to /Users/<Original User>/Public/, and,
while
holding down the Command & Options keys, drag the "Office X Identities"

folder to /Users/<New User>/Documents/Microsoft User Data/ (you might
have
to delete what's there already before you can drag the new one in).
Then,
when you launch Entourage, you should be able to see your data.

"If you're using Entourage 2004, replaces the Entourtreferences to
Office X with
Office 2004. In the future, please state which version of Entourage
you're
using.

Nevertheless, still I have been unsuccessful in importing the file. I
get one of two messages, either it says it can't find the file, or it
says it's not tab-delineated. Can anyone please help?
