Importing mail data from Outlook Express for Macintosh 4.5

My father wishes to import his mail databases from Outlook Express 4.5
running on his old iMac (Mac OS 8.6) to Entourage X running on his new
eMac (Mac OS X 10.3.5). I have copied the OE User(s) folder to the
hard drive of the eMac but can't get Entourage to import it. We have
also tried getting OE 5.x (which is running in the Classic
environment) to import it with a view to re-importing to Entourage but
that won't work either.

Can anyone help?
