Importing movie into Powerpoint

I'm trying to import a 24 MB movie into Powerpoint and it is consistently
playing slow (about half speed). This is a wmv file that is being played by
Windows Media Player. I have altered the size of the picture and the
resolution but movie still plays slow. It plays fine when not in Powerpoint.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Thanks

Hmmm, why is it being played by Windows Media Player instead of the MCI
player? At any rate, I'll suggest giving PFCMedia a try and see if you like
the reults. (Costs nothing to try it www.pfcmedia.com)

In my experience, if you did an Insert->Movie from file then PowerPoint
plays it using the MCI player, not WMP. The MCI player is much less
efficient than WMP for wmv files. For a test try inserting a Windows Media
Player object from the "More tools" button and setting the path property to
your wmv file. That should play better. My wmv movies always play better
outside of PowerPoint in WMP.
