Help!

I am trying to import all of my email files from Outlook 2003 (PC
version) to my new mac runing Office for Mac 2004. I can't seem to
import the .pst file. Its 600MB of data including old emails (company
policy is not to delete), calendar, to do lists, several contacts
databases, etc...

please help, so far the switch to mac has been a great expereince...
but this threatens it greatly. I have to be able to import my files
somehow, but I just can't figure it out.

Thanks all...

Chilly...

Do you have access to an Exchange or IMAP server? If so, you can copy
your e-mail onto the server from Outlook and then copy it back into
Entourage from the server. I was lucky in that I run my own mail server
so switching on IMAP was easy.

If the IMAP/Exchange route doesn't work, install use Mozilla/Thunderbird
to convert the mail folders to MBOX files:

For your contacts and address book, use OutPort:

What happened to the Public Beta of the ".PST Import Tool" announced January
11 at MacWorld? All traces of it are gone on Microsoft's site. I didn't
download it, but I swear I had seen the download link a few weeks back.

Maybe they've got all the beta testers they need now. In any case, that was
only for PST files derived from Outlook 2001 Mac, not Outlook Windows (2003,
2002, 2000, etc.)

I've already exported my Windows XP Outlook 2003 mail folders to .PS
files and was wondering if it was possible to import them int
Entourage 2004. Any help would be appreciated

No, there's nothing Entourage can do with a PST file. For contacts, events,
tasks, and notes, check out Paul Berkowitz's "Export-Import Entourage"
script package.
http://www.scriptbuilders.net/search.php?search_str=Export-Import+Entourage

This page has a pretty clear tutorial for moving mail from Outlook to
Entourage.
<http://www.riches.com.au/articles/export-outlook-entourage.htm>

Outlook2Mac advertises that it can automate the same procedure. However,
some users have noted that contacts, calendar events, and tasks don't always
transfer properly.

Alternatively, you can use an IMAP server to transfer mail. You can get a
free IMAP account at <http://www.bluebottle.com/>. Create folders matching
your local folder structure on the IMAP server. Drag-copy messages from
Outlook to similarly-named IMAP server folders. Go to Entourage and access
the the same IMAP account. Drag-copy messages from the server folders to
similarly-named local folders. If necessary, delete messages from server,
go back to the exporting program and repeat the process as often as
necessary until done.

Thanks. I've downloaded the scripts. Perhaps it would be best if
import the PST files back into Outlook 2003 on my old PC and go fro
there
