I recently installed OS X 2004... Of course with entourage.

I am now getting this message when I try to download..

"[IN-USE] account is locked by another session or for maintenance, try
again."

Well it is only in use on my macbook. I am not connected with webmail here
or anywhere else.

And my saved passwords don't work..when this is happening. The location for
the password in entourage is now blank and I have to type it in over and
over again.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance

This doesn't sound like an Entourage error. I'm guessing it's a Finder
error. Could your Keychain be locked?

Try testing in a new User. Go to System Preferences and create a new User.
Test Entourage there. If it works then you know it's a setting in your
User's folder.

Are you saying that it works in the new User? If yes, then the problem is in
your User's folder. Your options are:

1. try to find the problem in the current User
2. switch over to the new User.

To test in your regular User's folder, first log in with shift key held down
to stop all third party applications from loading. Does the problem go away.
If yes, then it's one of your login items. If no, then I would test your
preferences. Directions for testing your User account:
