In what all cases deleting the cache is required?

Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange Can I please know in which all cases or issues do we need to delete the Entourage cache? Just few 4-5 issues would be enough. Thank you in advance.
