Inbox contents deleted

I have 5 clients now who report that their email has vanished from their
Inbox. Some see it coming in and vanishing before their eyes. The mail is
also deleted from the exchange server so it cannot be recovered. The first
sign of trouble is that the clients see duplicates of all their folders and
the mail has gone.

They are using Entourage 11.2.1 on 10.4.x. Some of the accounts are migrated
from Entourage 11 but one is only 2 weeks old. The accounts are exchange
accounts with SSL enabled. It is only people on this version of Entourage
who have reported this problem to me. The server is Exchange 2003.

I myself use Entourage 11.2.1 and have had no problems.

Can anyone offer any insight or suggestions, please?

It could be one thing: When you rebuild the database in ENtourage, it
tends to lose the destination folder of the rules you have.
Check the rules in these accounts and make sure they're not sending the
e-mails to the trash instead of sending them to some other folder.
If the rules are set to send the e-mails to a local folder, they will
therefroe be "moved" to the local f9older and the Exchange copy is sent
to the trash once this is done.
That's the most common cause of these problems.
