Inbox empty for no reason

Hi,

My inbox in Outlook suddenly cleared itself of all emails. I am wondering if
this is a virus or someone has played a joke on me? Anyone experience this
before.

Thanks.

My Inbox, Deleted Items and Sent Items folders were all
empty this morning, and I have no idea why either!
Hopefully there is no virus going around that does this--
what a pain I've had all day trying to re-locate my lost
e-mails!

View options have not changed. The only thing that changed prior to this was
that I was setting a GPO in the OU I am a member of. After fiddling with the
GPO settings on the server an hour later my emails disappeared on my desktop
outlook application without touching anything on my desktop. Again this
might not be related as virus activity has picked up a lot recently so I am
thinking it might be other reasons than changing the setting of GPO. I can't
believe a misconfigured GPO setting however could wipe out my inbox?
