Inbox empty, messages folder full

Can anyone tell me how I can get the messages back into my
folders? They are all empty after Entourage was moved from
its original location. The Microsoft User Data file shows
1.5 GB in the "Messages" folder. How do I get them back in
place? (It won't let me import - it doesn't recognize any
MBOX on my harddrive as a source option).

Entourage should be able to find the messages "database." It is inside a
folder called "Main Identity." I've forgotten where Microsoft puts it during
the install. Just do a find.

Make a copy/back up of the file "database." Then double-click the original
file and Entourage should launch, with your messages back where they belong.
Moreover, this should also create a path so that Entourage knows where to
look for the messages database thereafter.

I'm pretty sure the preceding will work. If not, you may want to try the
Entourage "import" feature. Look under "Help" for instructions. However, I'm
not sure if Entourage can import from Entourage.

Good luck.

I¹m guessing you are in Entourage 2001. These files should all be in your
Microsoft User Data folder. Make sure that the folders & files are in the
right place and restart Entourage. Your old data should be available once
again.
