inbox has gone!!??help

can anyone help? my inbox has just disappeared, all of the other
functions of entourage are working fine, including my archived
sub-folders all full of email, but clicking on my inbox produces -0-.
the box is blank, new mail comes in but does not appear, and i have
had to set up a custom view to see today's, yesterday's mail...should
i reinstall and if i do will i lose all vital info, like the messages
that i haven't archived in subfolders yet?

Check to see if you have flagged only set under View.
