Help! why did I just get all my old deleted e-mails back? I didn't think I hit anything. Do I have to filter and delete them one by one again?

We need a lot more information. Is this a POP account and do you have
it set to leave mail on the server?

it IS a pop account, and I do not know how to tell if I have it to leave mail on the server. where do i go to find that?

Open Accounts under Tools in the Menu bar. Click on the Options tab in the
Account window. Check the settings.
