Including sender's email message--and attached images!--in replies

Hello! I'm using Entourage for Mac (11.3.1) on an iBook (Mac OS X,
10.4.8) and I'm having trouble replying to email messages.

I have selected the section in "Preferences" that allows me to include
the sender's message in my reply. However, when I reply, sometimes
the text is included--and sometimes, it is not (and there doesn't seem
to be any pattern).

I would like to figure out how to include the sender's message.
Please advise.

Eliz.

Hi Elizabeth,

my guess is that when the quoted reply does not show up in its entirety, you
have selected some text in the preview pane or the message window. When you
select a couple of words/lines or a paragraph (as I have done with your
message) and you hit reply, Entourage will only quote that paragraph;
however, if nothing has been selected, the entire message will be included.
Can you reproduce this behaviour?

Make sure that you select nothing. Entourage has a feature so that if you
select text in the message before you reply, only that text will be quoted.
If you don't highlight/select anything in the original message before you
reply, the entire message should be quoted.

Note that if the message you received is a complex HTML message, the quoted
text in the reply will only be simple HTML because Entourage can only edit
simple HTML messages. As a result, it might look different.

I don't know of any way to guarantee that attached images be included in the
quoted portion of replies.

If the senders email has complex HTML this can cause PROBLEMS with Enourage.
There is probably a script for this.
