Inclusion of all text in two columns, adjacent and fixed-width

Alex

I have text in two columns and bar graphs on the same
sheet.
The second column of text is determined by a worksheet
function.

To conserve space on the PC screen and printed paper, can
you adjust the second column to include an hidden letters
behind it and to fit them on one line.

Ex:
A B
Mississ County

Result (in same column widths):
A B
Mississippi County

If you have other suggestions, I am all ears.

THANKS!!!!

Using a text box linked to a cell might provide the
flexibility that you seek ..

Experiment with this:

Draw a text box

Select the textbox (click on the rectangle)
and press F2

Click on say B1 (this links the textbox to B2)

Type something in B1
It will show in the textbox

Now right-click on and format the textbox to taste,
e.g.: no lines, left justify, etc

then position it nicely to fit over the 2 cells A1:B1
(hold down Alt while moving / resizing the textbox
it will snap to fit the grids)
