Incoming mail goes to the wrong inbox

Last Thursday I started having problems with Entourage. I am running
Entourage 11.2.1 with Mac OS X 10.4.3 and an Exchange server. Most (but
not all) of the new mail arriving goes into the Inbox on My Computer. I do
not have any rules set and I didn't change anything last Thursday. I have
tried the following:

1. Rebuilding the database (after verifying that the database integrity was
fine)- nothing changed. When everything downloaded again from the server,
the majority of my email, regardless of its original folder, went into the
Inbox on my computer. All of the folders downloaded but most were empty.
2. Repairing permissions- nothing changed.
3. Setting up a new exchange account- nothing changed. Again, when
everything downloaded from the server, most of the email went to the Inbox
on My Computer.

I don't know what to do now. Any ideas?

We've seen this problem on occasion as well. Check the Mailing List
Manager and Rules to see if the redirection is happening there. (That
fixed it for us.)

WHen you rebuild the database, the Rules "foget" the mailboxes they are
supposed to redirect e-mails to and select another one. The selected
mailbox seems to be more or less random. Re-assign the proper mailbox
and it *should* indeed correct the problem (until the next rebuild :->
).
