Incoming mail window? (Not progress)

Some users have mentioned an incoming mail window that fades out after
receiving messages. I trust this is not the progress window (command + 7).
Any idea how to activate it?

Entourage 2004 only, Prefs:Notificationsisplay an alert on my desktop.

It only shows up when Entourage is *not* the frontmost app.
