incoming messages automatically deleted

Why are all new emails arriving in my deleted items folder instead of
the inbox and what can I do to fix this?

Check your rules.
One of my rules somehow got corrupted so that ALL mail was going into the
deleted folder (this was just yesterday) rather than those matching my set
criteria!

Thank you. I deleted all my rules and that did the trick. I'll add them
again as I need them.
