incoming messages go to the wrong mailboxes

Hey all,

Using Entourage 2004 (with most recent updates) on OS 10.4.2, a user
has some weird problems:

1. Incoming email gets delivered to the wrong boxes. He's using an
IMAP account, but messages go into both the "on my computer" Inbox, and
the Deleted Items folder in the IMAP account.

2. Many of the attachments he sends are unreadable by the recipients.

We've rebuilt the database and repaired permissions. Any other
suggestions, PLEASE!!??

This seems to be a problem that has cropped up maybe a half dozen times...

Can you try to start a new identity (Entourage menu, 'switch identities' and
click the button for a new identity)

You will have to enter your mail account settings again, but the folder
structure & messages on the imap server should just download again.

Recreate the necessary rules and see if they work there.

Please report back with progress...
