Multiyear projects need to adjust for inflation to estimate total costs

There are already cost rate tables which allow you to do this.
You can enter up to 25 time periods each with a different rate (to
compensate for forecast inflation/deflation/seasonal costs)
Double click on a resource and then choose the "costs" tab in the dialog
box.

This of course requires that every task that you want to have an inflation
adjustment on has a resource assigned, and that each resource has the
multiple rates that I mentioned.
