Indent a line

I hope this comes out ok as I have copy/pasted.
On the last line I am trying to move the word `missed` along so that it is
below `As you reach` in the line above.
It wont allow me to do this. I tried using the indent facility, just
highlighting the word `missed` but it then moves all the lines above along
as well.

help please.
thanks

0........... On leaving the airport terminal, head towards###, NOT Bodrum.
14.5........ On reaching Milas, turn left signposted Izmir.
43.0 **.....Enter tunnel, using dipped headlights.
51.5.........Lake Bafa comes into view on your right hand side. (not
visible at night)
67.1.........As you reach the Dogus Yol cement works on the Right hand side
of road, turn left for ####. (#####is signposted but easily missed)

Didnt paste correctly.

67.1.........As you reach the Dogus Yol cement works on the Right hand side
of road, turn left for ####. (#####is signposted but easily missed)

In the example above I would be trying to scroll the 2nd row across so that
`of road is below .....as you reach.
When trying to do this in publisher it doesnt move.

I am not sure I know what you are trying to do. Have you tried a shift+return,
then a tab or highlight the phrase and move the indent tabs for that part of the
phrase?

Will try and explain better...............

assume this is the text.....

67miles...........Turn left at signpost
then turn right.

If I put the cursor at the start of line 2 before the word `then` using the
shift key (the long key at the bottom of the keyboard)
the phrase "then turn right" does not shift along to the right. I am trying
to line up the word "then" to be directly below the word "Turn" in the first
line.

I tried moving the `tab` key but all the lines above also move so thats no
good.

What you want to use is a hanging indent. You should also use tabs for
the dotted lines rather than dots, as the second column will line up
perfectly.

The exact way to do this will depend on your version of Publisher. Post
it and I'll give you a step-by-step.

Using Publisher 2003

OK, select the complete list.
Then click and drag on the top ruler until the dotted vertical line
corresponds with where you want the end of your list to be.
Go to Format > Tabs. Take a note of the position, then click Dot, then
Set, then OK.
Now go to Format > Paragraph. Under Left, type the figure you noted
down. Then under First Line, type *negative* the figure you noted down
(i.e. if it was 0.977cm, type -0.977cm). Click OK.

Now delete all rows of dots you have. In place of each row of dots,
press the Tab key on your keyboard ONCE.

Hope this helps.
