I have the following index reference set up:
{ XE "bar code:changing symbology of" }
In previous versions of my document this has yielded an index result of:
B
bar code
changing symbology of, 8
After making some major style revisions to the document my index looks like
this:
B
[this area is now blank.]
changing symbology of, 8
I have tried to clear formatting on the index entry, I have tried setting
the style to "Normal". Both yielded no changes to the appearance of the
entry. (Did not change the font from Arial to the "Normal" Times New Roman
Font.)
I also tried pasting in the entry from a previous version of the document.
Neither procedure relieved the problem.
I have many index entries starting with { XE "bar code: ... They all fall
under the blank where bar code should be.
Does anyone know what could cause a blank index entry????
TIA
Chris
