Indirect Function ???

I think I need to use the indirect function for the
following. Please advise otherwise.

A | A B
1 |1 $A$1 =???
----------------
Sheet1 /\ Sheet2
------- ---------

How can I write a formula in B1 of Sheet 2 to pull the
value of A1 in Sheet1 given the cell reference that is
displayed in A1 of Sheet2?

A little trial and error shows this works
=INDIRECT("Sheet1!"&A1)

Hi,

Type this in cell B1 of Sheet2!

=INDIRECT("Sheet1!"&A1)

You need the ampersand ("&"), which makes the Sheet1! and
the reference in cell A1 into a string that can be
evaluated.
